You will need to provide. There is no concept of staying six months in a row. IRCC has mentioned explicitly that if you stay at a place for a total of six months regardless of the duration of a single stay, you will be required to submit a PCC.

This is also because you visited the place and stayed there for a total of 6 months. In case a qualification has been obtained as a distant program, PCC is not required and you need to mention that it was a distant learning program. However, any country where you stayed 6 months or more cumiliatively then you need a police certificate. Trust that clarifies.

This seems to be a recent development that I haven’t been aware of. Earlier they had mentioned that if you stay at a place for 2 months, and later return for 4 months, that got counted as 6 months warranting a PCC.

As it says, “where an individual has spent six months or more in a row within the last 10 years since the age of 18."- does this mean that if an individual has completed a degree in 2007 from a different country as a full-time student, residing there for 4 years, they won’t be required to obtain a PCC?
