Hello Everyone,
I am Madam from India, My wife is student in BC she is doing her MBA and I am her dependent with full time work permit. Is it possible I can change my work permit and start a small grocery store as business, a investor business. After this can i change my wife on my visa as dependent of business visa main applicant and later on can i apply for PR.

If you want to switch to a closed work permit based on your own business, you would need to look into the owner / operator LMIA process.

You need to apply for an LMIA as a business owner in Canada. If that LMIA is approved, you can then apply for a closed work permit tied to running that business.

Hi Thanks mate, But i will be moving on investor visa, Am I right ? Surely i need to close work permit. But what LMIA has to do with this.

I don't know what you mean by an investor visa.

It's referred to as an owner / operator work permit. You need to get an approved LMIA first before you can apply for the work permit as a business owner.
