working for a US company in Canada

Dear,

I have received a job offer from a US company. I will be representing their products in the canadian market and will therefore be full time in Canada. I currently only have a 1 year work permit for canada. I was hoping I could extend this permit when I received a job offer from a canadian company. This is not the case (I received a job offer from US company) that is doing business in canada.

I also have a green card and am from Europe.

What options to I have to extend my canadian work permit. I do not think the US company can apply for a LMO for foreign workers,correct? Does the US company have to send me as an expat?

If a US company does business in Canada and wants to hire a foreign worker to work in Canada, then yes, they will need an LMO.
