Work prrmit extension for protected person

Hello folks, I am a protected protected person but my work permit is about to expire in less than a week. I tried browsing all the available website but couldn't find the right one for me. Can anyone tell me the step to apply online? And also I'm currently working, should I stop working till I get my new work permit? Thanks a lot in advance!!

In the GCKey account click how you want to come to Canada. On the next page, click for work, Less than 6 months, and then you'll find Refugee after that follow the steps. There are a lot of questions about being eligible for the work permit. Answer all the questions (All are yes/No). Finally, you need to upload your previous work permit copy, passport copy, and form imm5710e. It's downloadable and fillable. Complete and upload the form. Then submit.

One more thing, After you get your work permit, remember to renew your SIN.

After that, you open an account here to check the status:

** You will receive your new work permit by mail **

Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. But I have some questions regarding the imm5710 form. There are areas which says why I came yo Canada, my job type, my education and so on. Should I also fill those? Thanks again

But what about the reason I first came to Canada ? Because I first came here as a student them applied for refugee? Cam I just say to study

Please note, I have followed all the steps above, but I am asked to provide *Proof of upfront medicals. How do I go about it? Is this mandatory for a protected person?

No, medical is not mandatory for a protected person. You don't even pay any fees.

Thanks but in the IRCC portal upfront medicals is part of the required documents. Can I submit my application without the medicals? Why did they include it in the required documents.
