work permit

Hello

I submit my work permit extension and i get approved email on 20th september. But from that day i did not receive my work permit paper in my mail. I called to CIC 4 times but they said i have to wait for this. can anyone tell me is there any other way to find my work permit paper. If I go to border then can i get my work permit paper?
