work permit gonna expired, process new LMO for new employer

hi my work permit gonna expired this coming january 2009, and i apply new job they process new LMO for me so i have 1 month more time before my work permit gonna expired.
1. my question is do i need to go home and wait for the LMO?
2. or do i need to stay, or i mean i have 90 days restoration period?

thanks for the reply..i have a multiple entry visa. this is my third work permit and it will expire January 2009.
