Is some in this forum, how applied for or wants to apply for work permit more than four years in managerial occupation.
I have noc 0631 restaurant manager in montreal and my 3 years work permit will expire on September and i am going to apply for 2 years more....
Please suggest me, shall i take a risk and apply for 2 years OR for the sake of 4 years limit just apply for 1 year.
any guideline for senior members and share you experience.
Even if you apply for 2 years, the officer only will give you one more year of extension. So, it's up to you to apply for 1 or 2 year, but you only will receive 1 year.

well, i mentioned above that i have managerial position noc 0631, as per cic website, it say that 0,A categories are exempt from four years limit.
so its good idea from applying more than four years?

As I explained, you can apply for that, if the officer accept to give you longer time on your WP, that would be the best and if not, they will give you what ever has remained from your work permit period limitation.

You can apply for two years and you can get it approved as you are not subject to the four year limit. It will depend on the LMIA. If the LMIa is for 2 years, then you will get a two years work permit.
