My IEC Young Professionals visa expired last month and before that I submitted my application by paper for worker permit extension (same employer, open work permit). So that means I'm on implied status right now.
Yesterday I was nominated by BC PNP and got work permit support letter.
My question is: can I somehow "update" my paper based application with BC PNP work permit support letter (because otherwise it will be refused)?
Or do I have to apply online for work permit extension? In that case, do I have to pay $155 work permit fee again (I already paid it for paper based application)?
My nomination doesn't have any employment restrictions so that means that I can get open work permit. Did anyone try to "update" paper based application with supporting documents?
What would happen if I try to link my paper application to my only mycic account? Will I be able to upload my PNP docs there?
I just want to update this thread in case if someone else will be in the same situation as I am.
I managed to get through CIC phone help line and agent added a comment to my paper based work permit extension application about my nomination and my contacts and he said he's unsure that it'll work, but it's worth a try. He said that agent should contact me and ask more about my nomination when he starts processing my file.
