Hi All!
I am still awaiting my LMIA approval which should come soonish. I am a mining engineer with software engineering extras.
I was wondering if with the following documentation I would be able to get the work permit at the boarder?
- job offer + approved lmia
- all the diplommas and references I can find
- I do not require a temporary visitor visa - so just my biometric passport

My extra question would be as I was working in Africa for past 2 years, even though I wont be working in health care - do I have to undergo any medical tests?

I will be very grateful for a quick advice! As I am sure a lot of people now are considering getting the permits at the border!
Thanks a lot!

1. If you have lived in one of the countries listed: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/dcl.asp for 6 months or more, then you need a medical, so you can't apply at a POE when you receive your LMIA
