he already reached Canada on 31st Dec.
He was with his family from nov to dec as at the moment he has gone alone and his family will follow him later.
Good Morning Gentlemen! Another week of waiting and fresh hope of obtaining our visas. I have a strong feeling that this week there will be visas coming out. Now there will be no more excuse from the holidays and we will have a complete week to wait. Good Luck to all of us.

Lets hope for the best as now I am really out of options and patience.. if by 20th my visa doesn't arrive then i will have to request my passports back for iqama renewal. and then it will be a whole month delay for me.
I have the strong feeling you will be the one to get this week as your waiting days already passed the one of Ismailhiggy. I myself should get my visa within this week or next one otherwise my employer will cancel my contract with them. They need me to be in Canada to start my work on 21 January 2013.
I have nothing but to symphatize with you.... this long weeks of waiting really affect our work and plans....
I do hope and pray that we can have good news this week...

My employer also ask for an update and I told him that I am already past due for the average processing time here in Riyadh.
I have no option but to send an enquiry to CIC-Riyadh visa section and wait for their reply. I am planning to forward this response to my employer so they are aware that the embassy still not finalized my application.
So guys, let us continue praying and hoping for this week.

January 5 2013 - @12:20 PM received an email with my reference number saying "Dear applicant, your application is still under processing."
At least I got a chance to know my reference number
I will forward this email to my employer so he'll know my current situation.

yeah same reply which I received on 31st dec.
Do you think these are automated replies from the Embassy?? I was going through the Abudabhi Sept august forum and seen some of them there were getting automated replies and after some days they used to get the actual detailed reply.
I would say the embassy response has a template.
The mere fact that they add my reference number in the subject along with my enquiry means somebody has manually did it but copy and paste the template.
