I was a student at concordia university in montreal .studying bsc in computer science program. i lost my mother during the finals of my first semester and ever since i havent been able to score good and eventually due to low academic standing i got kicked out of the university yesterday. my study permit is still valid for 1.5 more years and i have already applied to several colleges/universities in ontario. i havent yet recieved any offer letters. however i am very worried about the general immigration process (extention of study permit/applying for work permit) etc due to me being kicked out due to low academic standing. i am conflicting between going back to india and finishing my bsc there or start a diploma in canada and aim for getting a Permanant residence. Someone please help me and guide me as to what complications i should
expect if i continue to study here and/if returning back to india is a better option now.

I am sorry for your loss first of all. How long have you been out of school? Assume you haven’t been working during this time.

20 days since my last final , but i can still register for summer courses at university. i wont be allowed to register after september

Summer session has already started at this point. Summer is usually considered as a scheduled break. Since you haven't been out of school for very long your permit hasn't been cancelled. Yo'll need to get admitted to another program and inform CIC nine about your change of application. The best thing you can do is do as well as possible in the next year before you submit your extension.
