Yes you will need to apply with a letter from the MPNP office stating that you were approved and are required to extend your work permit to stay in Canada... For SINP they send this letter automatically with your application I am not sure if they send it with MPNP but think they dont give anything such becuase of your question regarding this....

I am currently working in Winnipeg from 18 months or so on work permit which is W-1 specific to my employer back in India. I have recently extended my work permit hence it is valid until 2015 under my employer. I have applied for MPNP, I have received an approval under NOC A category and I have applied for PR to NovaScotia.
1) Once I hear back from CIC, can I apply for Open Bridge Work Permit? To apply for this do we need to get any approval from any body
( CIC or MPNP ).
2) What kind of reply from CIC regarding my PR application entitle me to apply for Open Bridge Work Permit.
3) How and where can I get information to convert my current work permit to Open Bridge Work Permit.
4) If I get Open Bridge Work Permit can I look for other opportunities and can I look opportunities anywhere in Canada or shall I have to look only with in Winnipeg.
5) If I get PR, am I obliged to work only in Winnipeg, how long should I work in Winnipeg so that I dont have any obligations from CIC in future.

1) MPNP will only issue WP support letter 90 days out from the expiry of your current work permit. If it's outside that time, just hang tight. Similarly, you can wait for your AOR from CIO and then apply for BOWP online, it will take about 20 days or so to get it.
2) Also, you could try going to the border with your LOA and they might give it to you on the spot, I've seen that happen a few times before with my clients

I am a manitobian nominee ( I got my letter of approval-loa) and i have job offer letter from canada employer, obtained during my exploratory visit. My question is the following:
1. Do I need LMO?
2. if not then what to write/enter in the form IMM1295E since there is a particular box asking a LMO.
3. Proof of funds- how much is the limit?
4. Can we apply work permit and PR at the same time? like i will submit my work permit application in VAC and i will send all docs to CIC for my PR applications.
