Hello,
I have an issue in getting a work reference letter. I worked for this company back in 2014 to 2017. The company is small so it doesn't have HR department. When I asked for reference letter, the director rejected me saying I haven't been working there for a long time.
But back in 2016, I got the director to write a reference letter for me. The letter was written on company's letterhead and was formatted as follows:
This is to confirm that Ms XXX has been employed by XXX since XXX. Ms XXX began her employment as an __________ in a permanent part-time position and was promoted to ______ in April 2015. Her hourly rate of pay is XXX
Her duties and responsibilities include:
Signature
Name
Director
Date
My last working date, working hours per week and benefits (though the hourly pay is mentioned) are not included in the letter and the letter was from 2016.
An ex-colleague of mine -who has quit the job- has agreed to sign a reference letter for me. Can I have her sign the letter on a white paper without company's letterhead, get it notarized and submit this with my application? However, she doesn't have a business card, company ID or offer letter from this company. What can I include to show that she worked at the company before?
I am planning to submit this old reference letter with my colleague reference letter together with my payslips, bank statements, tax paperwork and superannuation statements. Will these be enough?
Any help or information will be much appreciated.
Thank you
