I was wondering whether anybody in this forum has experience with cancelling "unprocessed" visa applications. Approximately a month ago, I applied to change my status from worker to visitor as my temporary work permit expired. I submitted my application via mail from inside Canada. In the meantime, however, I have received another job offer from my former employer. Now I would like to cancel my visiting visa application and restore my status as a worker. Here are my questions:
a) Do I actually have to withdraw my visiting visa application before applying to restore my status as a worker? What could be possible consequences, if I wouldn't?
b) What would be the best way to cancel a visa application submitted by mail? I only found instructions on how to cancel an online application.
c) Any experience how long it could take CIC to process my case and send me a confirmation?
