I arrived Canada last week with a visiting visa status and would like to update my status from visiting visa to students visa, please i need to know the best process and steps to take and what is required of me.

You cannot. You get admission, pay tuition and file for a study permit. It is processed from your home country. So you want to show ties to return, education advancement, career advancement to justify costs, language scores and funds (min. $10k after paying tuition). You will need your mark sheets toO.
