Withdrawing study permit application holds open work permit of spouse which is applied together?

I applied for a study permit along with an open work permit for my spouse. It has taken more than 18 months but my application is in process. If I reinitiate my study permit application and IRCC asked me to hold my previous application. Will it also hold my spouse's Open work permit application?

Not hold, it will follow under "multiple application guidelines" if you dont cancel one. If you cancel, your sowp will be cancelled

But if I received study permit from my next application than what about first application? and what about SOWP which was applied along with it?

System will flag same UCI number for same application, in this case Study Permit. Officer will examine if there’s significant changes to documentation and information provided and proceed with your first application, make decision and withdraw second application. Sending multiple application increases backlog
