I am a B.Tech(Computer Science) graduate and having 1 year work experience in Networking. I would like to know whether Wireless Networking course from George Brown or Computer Systems Technology course with co-op from Centennial college is better for me depending on my educational qualification and job opportunities in Canada after completion of the course.
If I were you, I would go for Wireless Networking in George Brown.
Since you said you have 1 year job experience in Networking, it would be a good course.
Plus Wireless Networking is a Second Career program by Ontario Government, its a good thingi, they need more people in this sector.
Thanks for your reply. But Wireless Networking is only 1 year course. Hence, I will be eligible to get only 1 year of PGWP. In this case, how can I make sure that I get a PR?
If getting PR is in your mind and you care for more than 1 year post-job visa, then why bother to go for graduate certificate courses? Go for Masters, its more prestigious and visa officer give more value to it.
Because I think that going to a university with a masters course is far better than going to college for a two years certificate course.
Let me tell you something bro, that I learn from experience: Canada care for Degree and Australia care for job experience. I hope you understand what i meant
Thanks Bro.. I really appreciate your help.. But the thing is that i have not given GRE so I cannot apply in Universities.. is there any University in Canada which accepts students without GRE??? I have an overall 8 band score in IELTS....
I don't have GRE or GMAT either, I have 7.5 in IELTS. 3+ years job experiences, undergrad from Malaysia (Australian Degree) and a local MBA.
I got accepted in University of Ottawa for Masters in E-Business Technologies and Concordia University for MEng in Information Systems Security. I am waiting for Dalhousie Univerisity, and I am sure they will accept me too.
So yeah, GRE is not the main factor dude, they take people without GRE too.
Just contact them first via email, and then apply.
check this link out (put www before), U of T is not there
canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/StudentPartnersProgram_ProgrammePartenairesEtudiants-Nov09.aspx
Moreover I did not apply for U of T coz they dont have suitable programs for me, regarding GRE thingi, just call U of T and ask their representative, don't wait for email, coz their reply pace is very slow.
Computer System Technician < Computer System Technology < Network Engineer
Centennial have an option to be a Technology if experience in Networking
Fanshawe the course is best for Technician and Technolgy
George Brown and Georgien other options
But i don't know what are the pros and cons on the above colleges
