Same problem here, I was issued visa for eighteen months as well. But its no big issue, as long as you keep on track and continue your studies your visa is easily extendable.

Nope, I am flying out on 28th December Inshallah.

My course length is 2 years (4 semesters) and i have been issued visa for 18 months just like you. But like I said, its no biggy ! I will try to explain to the immigration officer to issue me study permit for two years (i.e equal to my course length) but in worst case scenario they will give us study permit for 18 months instead of two years and we'll have to extend it further when we extend our visas. don't panic we'll be fine Inshallah.

lol nope bro, I am from Pakistan. I was in the process of preparing for submitting my docs under Quebec Skilled Worker Category but frankly learning French turned out a bit of a kill-joy for me so I changed my mind and applied for Study Visa instead. I will keep you posted. No worries !
