I have my oath ceremony in a month and I have received a violation ticket in BC for use of an electronic device while driving. Is that an indicting offense? Does that affect my citizenship? Do I need to declare that to CIC?
I am very confused and would really appreciate your help.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried to review the Canadian Citizenship Act and any legal text I can find, it is very hard to understand and vague in many ways. I think I am stressing too much over it but the truth is when that officer gave me the ticket, I thought that everything is over. I haven't been able to sleep since and It was 3 weeks ago. I wasn't even using my phone, but hey you can not argue with the police.

A driving infraction is not a criminal offence and does not prohibit you. A DUI on the other hand is a criminal act and as long as you have not been charged with a criminal act you are good to go
