Will study permit cancel my work permit

Hi,

I am planning to study in Canada next year. The courses start some time in Sept 2011.
The thing is that I am already in Canada on Work Permit and want to work till atleast May 2011 and take a sabbatical then on.
So, if I apply for the study permit right now, will it cancel my work permit immediately? or will the study permit become valid in Sept only so that I can continue to be on WP until Sept? .. my work permit is valid till end of next year and can be extended if I want to stick to my job .. so if there is any risk in applying for study permit then I will cancel my plans to study next year ..
If I take the sabatical in May 2011 and then apply for study permit, will I be able to get the study permit by sept 2011?

IF you apply for a study permit, when it is issued, it will cancel your work permit.

Hi

I read ur post asking to chamge from work permit to study permit.

I came to canada on 31st dec 2012 as a foreign worker and my work permit is upto 30 dec 2014.

I plan to start uni in sept 2014 so

1. Can I apply for a study permit within canadq or I will have to exit.

2. When would be the best time to apply as id like to workk till august mid and then goto uni directly from here.
