I am currently studying in douglas college and my first semester is going on. The next semester is the summer semester which is an optional one and i want to take to take the semester off as i want to go back home for a while. My question is if i take a semester off will i get any trouble in getting the post graduate work permit? I went to the international student's office in my college and they said that the summer semester is considered as a scheduled break so i can take the summer semester off. I am not really sure about what to do. So please help me.

You can only take it off if it's a scheduled break. Otherwise your studies won't be continuous and you should expect there will be problems getting a PGWP.
