With the large number of asylum claims, and overtays and other issues from Saudi and similar places, it can be hard to prove ties.

I agree with you..! Will apply once we back from states provide statements and other relevant that show her ties.

Its difficult to prove your ties to your country of residence though,keeping her status in saudi arabia in mind, but not impossible obviously. what passport you hold?

That, of course, complicates matters since you have to prove ties to country of residence and home country and provide reasons you would return. Temporary residents from one country in another have little ties to home. Additionally, Pakistan is another high asylum country, so there are high risks your wife will continue to be denied a visa, sadly.

exactly this was the point. Its always advisable to apply from your home country as when you are on temporary resident in some other country for so long, that means you already have almost no ties with your home country. It becomes bit more difficult to satisfy VO that you are honest visitor. how many kids you have ?

Except that you cannot apply from your home country if you are resident in another country. The online application form asks you your citizenship and your country of residence.

Saudia is not listed in top 25 (all the listing is based on nationality not the location of application.
