i am actually confused about when the RPRF should be paid.
If you notice in EP7, Instruction guide for Provincial Nominees it says
Right of Permanent Residence Fee
•$490 per person for you (the principal applicant) and your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable). Dependent children are exempt.
•You will need to pay this fee before your application for permanent residence can be finalized. We will send you a request to pay this fee when we are ready to issue the permanent resident visa.
but in Buffalo Consulate's website http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/fees-frais_buffalo.aspx it says
The fees for applications in some economic classes (Quebec Selected, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominees) are payable when the application is submitted.
Applications submitted in these classes without the correct fees will be returned to the applicant.
The Right of Permanent Residence Fee in these classes may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing.
The Right of Permanent Residence Fee must be paid before the Visa is issued.
well... i have no ideal about fee but my friend and me, we are same process so he paid 490 too..
if money was wrong, he should get some letter or email... but he didnt get anything...
everything was ok, he already got pr card 2 months ago...
i was actually wondering if I should wait for Buffalo to request the Right of Permanent Residence Fee or can I send it now since we are done with our medicals and already waiting for PPR.
The information from those two sources I mentioned are contradicting right? One says, wait for it to be requested while the other one said you can pay anytime during processing.

can you give us your timeline? kasi kami july 26 nagmedical and august 6 nadeliver sa ottawa ang results. also, under family stream ka or may job offer?

hello daboy.halos pareho lang tayo ng timeline,namedical kmi ng mga kids ko june 12,send sa ottawa ng july 2.pero yung asawa ko na nasa canada na medical sya ng july 9 after a week send sa ottawa. more than 4 months na rin after medical. under ainp din kmi. sana ppr na rin kmi dis week in god's will........ ;D

buti ka makakauwi pa, husband ko kasi expired na TRV kaya kami na lang susunod dun sa Saskatchewan as soon as mabigyan ng visa. sana nga malapit na din sa amin, congrats ulit.
hello everyone, we got an email today saying that our application for PR was transferred to L.A. consulate. is this a good thing? do they process applications faster?

I think it is good for you, it can be faster! because my friend got the notification from Buffalo, who told them the file has been transferred to NY, finally they got PPR 3 months after medical ..
why did they inform you via e-mail? should they offically send you a letter ? can you check your status online, is there any change ?

my e-cas status is still "in process", i think they informed us via email because we've made 2 case specific inquiries in the past month so i guess they are confident that the email address that hubby is using is active and can receive messages.
hope more good news in the coming days...or weeks
