really? i hope ours will be soon,para naman mkasama na natin mga hubby natin this christmas sa canada...........ask ko lang ang husband ko kasi july 9,2010 sya nagpamedical sa canada,yung sa kanya ba yung susundin if after 3 months yung PPR request? nauna kcng na isend sa ottawa yung medicals namin.

di ko sure e, kasi sa husband ko august 6 nareceive sa ottawa and sa amin ng daughter ko august 5. i do hope we receive the PPR, my hubby already reserved an apartment sayang naman bayad if sya lang mag isa titira and hirap din dumating ng winter sa canada, mas mahal pa air fare pag december kasi peak season.
i guess they do since they process applications from the U.S. but there are cases that I read where their file was transferred to an embassy - LA, Detroit, NY City for expediting. i guess this happens if the applicant is a U.S. resident. don't know lang for my case, PNP where the principal applicant is already in Canada.

any updates anyone? i hate waiting plus, since my husband's work permit is expiring on November 30, 2010 he had to apply for an extension of his work permit which I think will be a total waste of 150 dollars. thanks to CIC because they're taking too long :
we're waiting for PPR as of now (2 months since medicals) and the work permit extension's processing time is 76 days in Vegreville,AB. what do you guys think, will the work permit extension be released before the PR visa?

do you know what is the criteria coutning the progressing time in Cic office? is it based on the date they received the application , or base on the file they started to proceed? it makes a big differerence.
by any chance, do any of you guys know who received your medical exam results in Ottawa? Based on DHL tracking number, mine was received by a certain FEATHERSTONE. how about you?
i did send a case specific inquiry last September stating that my husband's work permit will expire November 30 and would he need to apply for extension or the time between September to November 30 is enough for them to make a decision on our PR application.
all I got was the standard reply - "Your application is in process. We are unable to give an exact date as to when a final decison will be made."
it's been over 2 months since our medicals, no updates yet. e-cas status is stuck in "In process" :'(
