Hello,
I am Gaurav. Presently i am working with one of the mining equipment manufacturer in Sudbury, Ontario as mechanical design engineer on work permit. My employer has received positive LMO for this position on the basis of which i got my WP & started working for same employer since last one month. I would like to know if i can apply for PR under PNP category for same position. My employer would be willing to send pre screen application for me and we have received positive LMO for same position in past say 4-5 months ago.
Thanks a lot in ancipation of your reply.

hi gaurav, you can get all information at http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/index.htm
hi jass, waiting for your link regarding visa office, one more question, how long did it take for your pcc?
My medical is done on 28th sept but status still showing that your file has been received. After your medical done how long it took to change the status that medical has been received or your file is in progress ?
Hello Jagga,
Thanks for link. I heard that PNP program has some cap (500 application per year) & mechanical design engineer does not qualify to apply under PNP. Is it true? I went through ontario oppurtunity website but those criterias are not mentioned on it.
Thanks,
Gaurav
One more question, I am already working as mechanical design engineer in canda & my position was approved by HRSDC - by providing positive LMO which enabled me to get my work permit. But i think oppurtunity canada is another organization, so my question is will they provide pre screening for position which is already filled by me and approved by HRSDC.
Thanks,
Gaurav
I applied for OPNP in May 2012, after a month or so they asked for some more documents and I mailed all the docs. After that I haven't heard anything from them, it's been 6 months now. The website says, the processing time is around 90 days. Does that mean my application is not approved for this year? Where should I contact to know the status of my application? Any help will be truly appreciated, thanks in advance. Good luck to all!
I had to wait 1 year and 3 months for PNP refusal...So their timeframe did not mean anything in my case....It was a nightmare for me and my family because it took so long to get a decision...I have waisted all these months for nothing....i hope you won't be in the same situation...I have heard a lot succesfull stories of PNP as well, so good luck for you!!!!
