I am at the stage of sending all my documents to local CHC within 120 days period. I has applied under skilled worker category. I have already paid CAD 1250 for my initial application screening to Sydney.(principal applicant + spouse+ child, 550+550+150).
Now, I am not sure how much fee we need to pay the local CHC. Is it the same or different? Clicking onto the link of local CHC fee payment takes me to the page of local Canadian embassy. But I am not sure where to calculate this second fee.
I shall be extremely grateful if anyone an guide me on this as my 120 days finishing soon.

Thanks a lot for your replies. As I can see under section 13 of Visa office specific instructions, FEE PAYMENTS
its written "follow these instructions to pay the fees". if you do not, we will return your application. Processing fees are NOT refundable.
Then under FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER, its given " pay processing fees to CIO in CANADIAN FUNDS by credit card or to "receiver general of Canada".
Under Payment Instructions, its given Consult the FEES section of our Website or Guide for skilled Workers to calculate your fees.
But the same fee structure is given which has already been paid to Sydney.
I am still not sure why we don’t have to send the fee when its clearly written in checklist to pay fees or they will return the application. Sorry for my dumbness but not sure about all this.

Your question has already been answered.
The information you quoted was there because before now(pre- feb -2008) all the doc and fee were paid through the local visa office.
All you need do now is to prepare all your supporting docs and send them without any fee for now.The CAD 490 will be paid later during your medical.

Its really strange that why CIC doesnot update their information for local CHCs visa specific instructions on the websites. It is bound to confuse new applicants like me who do not have any knowledge about previous rules. We are supposed to go by the instructions which are written on websites. If they donot update them, new applicants are sure to make mistakes.
Anyway, I will not send any fee now as told be seniors and hope my application is not returned
