When does background check go in progress ? (Ottawa VO)

Does this VO start background check after medicals are received / passed? I passed mine on June 15 and have not seen my background check go go "in progress"

Our background check started quite soon after the file transfer. We used the old kit with the medical submitted upfront.

No, I don't think so, we just got an additional line that says "we started processing your application on xxxxx"

I really can't tell you but if I were you I would just relax. I know someone who got an email for her partner to do a visa pickup and the next day her BCG went to in progress, even though he will get DM at the visa pickup meeting. ECAS is not the most up to date and mycic has its own glitches. Just gotta trust in the process, everything will be fine

Hi Kcward7 my case they started processing my application for the Permanent residence on January 2017, but I have no Idea if they started processing my Background check . its been 8 months since they received my application and no news at alll.

I know, it's hard...we're Mar 1 applicants at London VO so I totally get it, we just don't have a linked account, only ecas.
