Anyone who has recently applied for inland PR, please let me know what you submitted along with sponsorship application.
I want to apply for OPW along with my application, but also need to extend my visitor status. Do i need to do both or will the OWP application cover both? I assume it would but want to know for sure.
Do you send your passport along with the application? If not, how do they extend your status while your application is being processed?

The OWP application is sufficient. If you want to extend visitor status, I'd suggest applying separately for that. It's not necessary but there is some comfort in having a piece of paper that says you have the legal right to be in Canada rather than trying to argue about "implied status". But legally yes, with the OWP application pending you have implied status and can wait for a decision.

No. You will take your passport with you to the landing interview. The extension is "implied" which means you don't have any documents. Once the OWP has been issues, they'll mail it to you. That, combined with your passport, prove you have the legal right to work in Canada.
