Hi, I am trying to finish the Inland application but just can't figure out what do with the Open Work Permit. When I send the OWP together with the Inland Application do I need to send the whole OWP application package? (cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp? Or just the form IMM5710? And does it matter where I put the OWP application? (top or bottom of inland application).
I have read in another thread that you should put "Open work permit- not to be processed until 1st stage approval." on the top of the (inland) application. Is that correct?

You'll have to see what the mailing instructions are for the new Pilot Program OWP, but do NOT write "Open work permit- not to be processed until 1st stage approval" across the top of the OWP application. That was how Inland applicants needed to alert CIC to wait for AIP, since they would not be approved for the OWP prior to that. Since the Pilot Program was launched, you're eligible based on the submitted Inland application. Having said that, I believe that those that are including the OWP application WITH the Inland application still send it in one package (with the OWP on top). This also gives you implied status throughout the process; no need to apply for a visitor extension. Make sure you pay the full amount ($155 + $100), or your OWP application will be returned, which would negate your implied status!
Only those that are applying without status, should include that statement across the top of the OWP application.
