What Happened to SDS Applications?

I lodged my application through SDS since it was said to be the fastest way of approval compared to Regular Application. However, it turned out to be the other way around.

Here's my application details:
Upfront Medical: March 3, 2020
Lodged Date: September 16, 2020
Biometrics Done: October 20, 2020

My GCKEY's update was only Biometrics since October 20, 2020. My medical is about to expire next month, I tried sending my medical twice but no update yet. I already deferred my intake 4x. Hoping that I can have my approval this month of February 2021.

Anybody here who are also waiting for SDS Approval? Hoping that we can get an update on our application soon..

My guess, you'll be asked to redo the medical a few days after it expires.
If you're even luckier, you'll get your Visa soon in a few days.

Hey kagawad, the only thing that worked for me was to directly send an e-mail (this is in addition to 150 webforms) to the Primary Office of my application (which is CPC Ottawa). I sent an e-mail last 11JAN and received updated medical on my GCKey on 14JAN. To determine your Primary Office, you should order your GCMS/CAIPS/ATIP notes or maybe you can call IRCC.

My timeline:

Upfront Medical -- Feb 09 2020 (NHSI Baguio)​

Lodged SDS -- 04 Aug 2020​

Received AIP thru GCKey -- 22 Sep 2020​

Biometrics -- 28 Oct 2020​

Medical Passed -- 14 Jan 2021​
