WES has sent documents for verification to College/ University.

Mine is Mumbai University.
The application is on hold for re verification.

Can you help in any way please?

Have you visited the University to pay the verification fee? When did your application go on hold, I mean the date? Check one of my earlier posts for the procedure to be followed. Feel free to inbox me for any queries!

You need to visit the controller of examinations department at the Kalina Campus and ask them if they have received your documents for verification from WES via post and email. They can use either medium or both to reply to the verification request from WES. They will ask you to pay a fee and within 10 working days they should process your request. Once they've sent the email confirmation to WES, your status should change from "on hold" to "in progress" within 2 working days. I know of someone who also gets this done from the University of Mumbai on behalf of the applicant at a nominal charge if the applicant is out of Mumbai or for any other reason is unable to visit the campus in person. DM for further details, I'll share his contact with you.

Thank you so much. I had missed this message. Let me try this. The status changed to on Hold on 25th June. So it was just yesterday. But I need to work on it sooner so thanks for your help. Also can you please let me know how much is the verification fee?

Hello all,
WES is saying they have contacted my university for secondary verification but my university says they have still not received any such things. Can any one suggest ? Hello Guys,
I am facing the same issue where in my documents were sent to my university for re verification. I have one small doubt, in my case my college is an autonomous body where the marksheet and exams are taken care by the college and only the degree is issued by the university. So, the university will only give verification of degree and not the marksheet. will that be sufficient? . My college already attached an attested copy from the controller of examination stating the same. Advice would be appreciated.

I am currently facing the same issue. Mine is Bharathidasan university trichy. My university isnt responding to my query, which is the sad part. I also applied on 23rd May and on 12th July my profile went on hold for the same reason.

I am also facing the same issue with Delhi University. I talked to university personnel who told me that they have received WES mail but in order to verify they need to send a hard copy to WES for which they are charging a $100 fee. And they are charging 100 dollars separately for verifying degrees & transcripts so total 200 dollars for verification.

After sending this query to WES they also confirmed that I need to pay this hefty verification fee to the University of Delhi now.

This is very disappointing & unprofessional on part of WES as:
1. WES never informed us that we may have to pay an additional fee to the university for re-verification during application process.
2. As re-verification process is communication between WES & University why is WES assuming that University will reply to thousands of emails they receive from WES for each candidates verification. It's not within the scope of work of any University personnel to answer these mails. This new step in verification process itself is flawed & many applications are now pending on WES because of this.
3. Why is this verification step mandatory as University have already mailed transcripts directly to WES in a sealed & stamped envelope?
4. As this is a communication between WES & University why WES does not bear the cost of this additional verification out of the fee we have already paid for WES services or charge additional fee & streamline this process as many students are still unaware that no one from their University is going to respond to WES mail & their application will remain pending indefinitely?
