Contacted my university (US university) to send my transcripts electronically on June 26th.
WES evaluation completed on June 29th.

It seems once your document started to be processed by them, it could be very quick. Hope all guys could get your report immediately.

The documents were delivered to WES on 27th July, the status updated and said In-Process, however currently it is showing ON-HOLD "We are waiting for your documents" Status last updated on 07/27/20.

Does he need to contact WES? or should he wait?

You have to wait. You can call them after the 10th of August. They are experiencing delays due to COVID19

That is seriously awesome. Mine reached on 20th of July but no sign of a status change till now. Let's see what happens.

Seems like that is the only option. Their website does say that the documents will be processed by 31 July but I doubt it.

This is crazy man! The amount of money WES makes is insane. But, it takes 1 hour to get connected to their representative on phone, 3 days and still no reply to the email, and non existent on social media. My documents got delivered on 13th July, and it still says we are awaiting your documents.

1. Their notification says that all documents received before 20th, shall be processed by 31st. It's 30th and still no reply. Should I wait till Monday before calling?
2. In case of such delays, does calling help? Do they look into it or should one expect a standard reply?
3. In order to have a fair process, shouldn't they be processing documents on first come first serve basis?

I know these are not normal times but still, I'm pretty sure they could have done better, especially when they enjoy monopoly in this lucrative market.

Well this is simply unacceptable. They should not put out notifications about dates on their website when they simply have no intention to adhere to them. When you tell your clients on the notification section that the documents "will be processed" by a certain date then this is a pretty strong statement already.

It seems to me like I am going to have it worse than you since my documents reached on 20th of July.
