Hi All,

I got m ECA done, and in my WES report I got my B.com degree as not recognized however my MBA came as recognized to Master's degree to Canadian equivalency.
On the CIC website it says they would give points based to the highest degree. With my MBA I get 476 points and I presume I should comfortably get the ITA. My question is should I go ahead and apply for my express entry.
Kindly advice if my application will go through or get rejected.

Thanks in advance.
If your highest degree is recognized then go ahead and create a profile with it.

476 is very good score, should not be a problem .ielsts score ??

If your WES report states Canadian Equivalent Masters. Then you have nothing to worry about. Go ahead and submit your profile.

Hello,
I'm facing a similar problem here and would appreciate if someone may be able to help me with this. I did submit both my masters (2 years) and bachelors degrees (4 years) to WES but they certified as a double bachelors degree. So they treated the masters degree as a bachelors degree which is causing me to lose some significant amounts of points. I did my masters from an autonomous university. However, a friend of mine who was one year junior to me in the same institute with the same course of study got the degree evaluated as masters.
I tried reaching out to WES raising tickets thrice but to no avail. everytime they come back with a 2 liner stating that they didn't find any discrepancy and hence there is no change in the evaluation status.

I really don't know what to do and how to proceed from here. Should you suggest getting the ECA done from another certifying body, please suggest who would that be.

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

I had the similar issue , try IQAS

Hi All,

I faced the same issue on 19th August 2019. I did Wales from Sri Lanka, and this issue was there for sometime and once we started to complain Wales, they issued a separate letter through the Head of collaborative partnerships but still it got failed after 2 months.

I complained this to my local institute and Wales but they want us to use a different institute than WES and no one takes this seriously.

I had the issue and even i complained to educational board UK, they issued letter which was not useful with WES.
But, finally i did evaluation with IQAS and received, so try with IQAS

Its probably just one of those few western schools WES does not evaluate due to lack of correspondences between the university and WES.

WES does evaluate degrees issued to students attending affiliated colleges. I know of a few cases myself. Their bachelors / masters degrees were evaluated as required.

Your best bet is to choose another evaluation agency and get your evaluation done.
