Just a suggestion to those worried about photo limit.....
Print your pictures 4 pictures per letter size sheet, then if 30 "pictures" is the limit, since they would be sifting through 30 actual prints, they are now forced to look at 30 pages....which is now 120 pictures.
That's right, there is no limit. Send what you feel comfortable. Just CIC has so many applications coming through, they won't go through hundreds of photos from one application, particularly if it is not very suspicious. I guess just try and compile a 'timeline' of your relationship.
Yes they do try to match your "story" to the pictures your sent. This is what I understood from reading my caips note. Everything i wrote was supported with pictures i sent them. Hubby interview was waived!
I had a very small wedding, 15 persons total: my parents, my 3 sisters, his nephew, his 2 childhood friends, and best friends of my sister and brother-in-law. None of his family member could make it because of visa delays issues.
So it is not the # but whatever you are supporting in telling your relationship story.
My VO asked that pictures was not be stapled or elastic. I simply put a tag on the back with names of the person, relationship to me or husband, date, and location.
it's more about quality not quantity. 100 pages email don't tell you too much more than an extract of 5 pages. you'd rather provide a sound overall story and backing it up with proof (pictures, tickets from common trips, life insurance, joint-bank account, avidafits from friends/boss, etc.). always keep in mind that you need to convince a third party that your relationship is true. a letter statement/avidafit from a friend with a high position in a company or social status in Canada (provide email and phone number) is probably more worth than 50 wedding pictures showing the same people again and again....
make your story and material tangible and easy to understand and to follow. Don;t annoy the officers with too much irrelevant or redundant stuff.
if there are no red flags (huge age difference, previous marriages/spnsorships, etc.) or you're outside a common pattern you should be fine.
