I need your advice:

My wife, myself and 3 kids are scheduled to leave for Canada September 15, 2011 but we are planning to return to our home country (Philippines) on December 15, 2011 to follow up our early retirement benefits which will take 6 months so that means we return back to Canada on January 15, 2012.

HOw will this affect our immigration if in case we land in Canada then 3 months after landing we are returning back to our home country?

Can anyone advise us?

Thanks

After arrival, with in 3-4 months, you will get PR card. Than , you will be able to move any time. Remember, you have to stay total most probably 3years out of 5 years to get citizenship.
Best of luck

No issue at all. Primary objective after landing should be getting PR cards that mostly takes around 6 weeks (working days only). Once acquired, u better go back, finish the issues back home and can go back to Canada any time. u already know that to acquire citizenship, one needs to spend atleast 1095 days out of 5 years or 2 years to maintain PR status out of 5 years.

Thank you for the information. So that means upon arrival in Canada, we are obliged to stay 6 weeks to complete the PR card before going out of Canada. Is that right?

True...but not mandatory. It is upto u to stay or leave before getting PR cards. Once exit, u need to look for another means to receive your PR cards.

No.
U r free to return back by the next flight - the same day. However, u r required to come back to Canada 'within' 3 yrs. of that landing, if u desire to maintain your PR status.

Qorax
BTW, your plan is perfectly alright.

asyousuf,

how will we get our PR cards if in case we return to our country in less than three months?

Well..i am in this situation now a days waiting for the info on my PRCs. I am back to UAE and it is been 50 days since i did landing.

Primarily by post, that in my knowledge is not illegal though but highly insecured. Second option and the safest is if some one travelling to the country where u reside carries it for u from Canada. I do not any other option in my knowledge
wish me gud luk

Thanks for the opinion. Upon arrival in Canada, how may days did you stay in Canada before to flew back to UAE?
