Your uncle signed an agreement to support your family if needed, much like PNP programs that allow for citizens/PRs in Canada to support their family member's applications. This support from his uncle gave your father extra points for his application.
Regardless, it won't have any effect on your application, as that question is specifically to weed out people subject to the 5 year sponsorship bar. You can put Yes or No and include a letter of explanation.

If I go by the immigration document, I think saying YES and writing the full name of the uncle who sponsored my father might be the right thing to do since this document mentions the words "Five years sponsorship". The thing with this forum is that.. you sort of seek confirmation/validation for your actions w.r.t filling immigration forms

I came to Canada via skilled workers program and I was the main applicant.
Now my question is, Have I sponsored my wife? or in skilled workers program, I was not her sponsor and she was not sponsored.
