i applied for a study permit on june 2, 2023, after i applied, i received a biometrics collection letter on june 3 and completed my biometrics on 05 june after that, i have not received any updates regarding my application since aug 1 , which said that I had passed the medical exam. So, 3 weeks have passed, my application is in the same status, my classes start in two weeks, I sent them several emails, I even requested a letter of explanation from my supervisor to speed up the processing of my application, but it seems didn't have any effects. Has anyone called them or used other methods to reach them?
I'm helping my friend from Russia with her study permit application. Is it safe to assume that since her application was submitted outside of Canada, is her VO Warsaw? We submitted on September 19th, Upfront Medical on August 30th, and Biometric Completed on October 2nd. Her program starts on January 8th, 2024. Processing times said 7 weeks so we are hopeful it gets approved or at least a response by early December which is over the 7-week average but it's still tight.
Has anyone received their visa from Warsaw recently?
I'm from Russia too. 7 months of waiting for decision already. Had to defer intake to Fall 2024. Bunch of webforms, emails to both Warsaw and Moscow embassies, two emails to local MP and Eligibility hasn't even started
My representative suggested me some Canadian lawyer who recently was able to get a decision from IRCC for his client with similar case.

Yeah, since day 1. My representative also ordered GCMS notes. Nothing interesting there too: eligibility not started; no notes regarding eligibility only criminality checks and medical and biometrics info.
