Then what do I do? Consultant just asks me to be patient as the timeline is 6 months and I have just completed 4 months. This wait is annoying. Some answer would have helped
Hello, I want to correct u HERE, I'm also using a consultant, and I emailed them(Ottawa) a month ago from my personal email id to ask about my visa office, they replied me within 24 hours not my consultant.
Thanks !!
I also mailed them from.my personal id but they dint reply to me as they said this id was not registered with us so we will not disclose the information...lucky u..u got the answer
I stand corrected then guys. From other members sharing their experience looks like you are likely to get a response if you mail cic even when using a representative.
Security screening takes time for those selected. Its a complicated process which isnt disclosed in details for obvious reasons. Shortly it involves CSIS with average processing times by them of 60 days, it also involves mainly IRCC to review those recommendations and make a decision. IRCC might also invlove CBSA which is another place where file gets stuck.
All in all, thats why it might take many months to pass security screening. Hopefully you arent selected for that and your file might be simply just stuck elsewhere unless you ordered gcms notes and you can see that this is the reason.
Good luck
Thanks mate
