That additional verification email might mean nothing - i remember i read a post on this forum : someone received this email from cic and then ppr in a week

When did you write to them? I raised CSE on august 1, but no replies yet....

I sent an email directly to their email address not tru CSE

   Called cic on Aug 14
   R10 completed
   Criminality and eligibility - in process
   Security - not started
   
   Status of additional documents: been uploaded since August 15 afternoon.
   
   
   How long it will take to complete eligibility and criminality?
   
   
   Does the status of additional documents means some development on my application?
   
   
   Please HELP me with your valuable suggestions!!!

CEC is taking longer, i honestly cant say when. But if eligibility hasnt started yet then you will be in for some wait. Remember sometimes according to recent trends cec takes long at initial steps but then last few steps finish quickly. Good luck

Same. Mine was 4th august EST time, 5th august my time.
Sent them an email and replied yesterday that my VO is Ottawa. I noticed ottawa is taking some time in ip2 recently, unlike other offices where they take long in previous steps but shorter time from ip2 to ppr.
I am guessing like someone said they cant issue more than a set number of pprs per week

My travel history is very short, like 9 trips in the past 10 years. Most where for few days to a week. And living most my life since i was a child in a very stable country ( Oman) thats not known at all to be involved in anything. So i cant see security check taking long either.
Lets hope the wait ends soon.

Do you have a guess on what are they checking based on you knowing your file? Any additional document request, any extensive travel history etc?

For you guys waiting in IP2. I was doing some reasearch on cic website. Found an interesting thing. I noticed that when we email them to ask about visa office and if possible the status of our application, they sometimes say ( we can not estimate when your file will be finalized). So I was wondering what do they mean?
So according to this page on their website, it seems to be a positive thing. Looks like finalizing an approved application means (ppr). Might sound silly, but for us waiting without knowing whats going on, reading such a reply makes us stressed. Anyways, thought I'd share it with you. Good luck to all of us.

Ohh I hope that's not the case.. That will slow down the process!! BTW how can we contact them/ ask query - u know contact no. / email???
