Nowadays CIC is processing the new cards in approximately 60 days for the most of the newcomers.
My timeline:
Landed - Sep 28, 18
All applications are linked successfully.
Ghost update for my wife's application - Nov 21, 18
Nothing updated in my application so far.
Still waiting and so close to 60 days.
I landed on September 27th at Coutts border. Still waiting for card! I don’t know how this Canada post strike is going to delay PR card delivery specially in Alberta and Edmonton

I landed in Rainbow Bridge (Niagara) on Oct 16 2018. Officers completed the application. So far I did not received the PR card. I'm planning to go to my country for vacation for 1 month (Dec12-Jan13) so I'm thinking to apply for the permanent residence travel document once I land to my home country. Of course if I get the PR before travelling would be fantastic but I don't have so much hope considering how slow they are plus if Canada Post is still on strike.

Thank you for the update my friend. In any case I'm preparing the documents for the PR travel documents. Theoretically it should be straightforward considering I landed a month ago and I don't need to demonstrate the requirement of 730 days in Canada.
update for my case:
so the PR card went back to IRCC due to a wrong address (according to Canada post, though the address was valid? anyway...) and I called them today they said they have it and will remail it "soon" , though it may take an extra 2 weeks for me to finally get it. At least they didnt lose it.
bill2048 and ec6863 I m glad to see you were luckier than me, congrats!
Hi,
I landed on Oct 5th, 2018, got email on Nov 26 only for me asking new photos. No email for my family members. Then I submitted online inquiry for my kids and spouse. They came back saying my kids also needs new photos and they never email me for them means If I never asked I wouldn't know. I also receive email for my spouse saying PR Card is approved and sent for printing and it is one week I still did not receive PR card for my spouse, so I email them again, this time really weird thing happened reply came back asking to submit request with all documents I submitted for my PR Card request, I am certain the person does not have any idea what he is asking as I did not apply for PR card it was first time landing. Really weird no direct communication no CIC updates. Really frustrating.
I really want to point out this thing they do not always send mail address to send via express post or registered post, for me they only provided the post box mail address, luckily I inquired for my kid it that email this kind person mentioned both addresses, so make sure you are using the address on which you can do registered or express mail with tracking.
Please advise, I did my soft landing in Oct 2018 and came back to USA in Nov 2018. I gave my Friend's Canada address for PR Cards.
I received a letter from CIC that they rejected my photo and asked me to send a new photo.
My Question :
1. Can I send the new photo directly from US to CIC? Or should I send it to my frined in Canada and ask him to send to CIC?
2. On the back side of the photo it should have Date, name and address of Photogroph studio - Will it be an issue ? Will CIC thinks that the Candidate is out of Canada ?
