Dear Friends,
I am staying in Montreal and travelling to India ( Dec '21)but my CoPR will be expired ( valid till Dec 2021) by the time i'll be back , I need your input on following .
CoPR : Received on June 26th 2021, Uploaded photo and Address proof next day , it's 125 days - No update on my PR card.
I called multiple times to IRCC but they always say , due to COVID it's taking more time to process my card.
I am in Quebec and applied for PR for Ontario region as i want to move there , I thought to m?ove once my PR card is received.
Please suggest ( my eCoPR is vali till Dec 2021 and my work permit is valid till 2023 ( issued for work in QC)
-------------------
->My RAMQ card is valid till 2023 but my kids /RAMQ card, VISA is expiring in Dec due to his passport date ( but now got his new passport)
-->Can i extend my kids RAMQ card based on his CoPR and new passport ?
---> Can we go and come back ( landing in Montreal ) on expired COPR, or my work permit
----> What to do for my kid- His VISA is expiring in Dec21 and eCoPR validity also expied in Dec 21
--->Do they cancel work permit once eCOPR is recived ?
---> i still have 55 days for my travel - is there any hope to get my PR card
--->Can I apply for SIN of my Kid based on CopR?
Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Regards,
TT

Work permits / TRVs are canceled in the system once you become a PR.
You either need a valid PR card or a valid PR Travel Document in order to be able to board a plane and fly back to Canada. You cannot use the eCOPR for this purpose.

Will they give me PRTD after my eCoPR expired ? I am travelling in Dec end but my CoPR is getting expired taht time. I booked tickets long back with hope that at least my PR card will come within 6 months after my CoPR ( CoPR cam in June ) .
I call to IRCC , send them mail but they do not respond properly.

I received my COPR on Aug 4th, 2021 and my COPR is going to expire on March 16th, 2022 and still I have not received my initial PR card.
Que 1: Can I stay in Canada even when my COPR gets expired?
Que 2: What I can do, in case I have to leave Canada and then come back after 2 weeks?
Thanks in advance

1) Yes.
2) You need either a PR Travel Document or a valid PR card to be able to board a plane and fly to Canada. You can only apply for the PRTD from outside of Canada and it can take longer than 2 weeks to process. The alternative is to fly to the US and then re-enter Canada through a US/Canada land border.
