Has anyone had any luck getting PR after receiving a procedural fairness letter?
My issue was that they thought I'd lied about my employment since I foolishly listed a volunteer position as employment while I was in school (and didn't know anything about immigration procedures at the moment), and then didn't include it in my CEC employment history.
My timeline:
ITA: December 4, 2015
App submitted: January 29th, 2016
AOR: Jan 30th, 2016
Extra documents requested: February 18, 2016
Extra documents sent: February 25, 2016
Procedural fairness letter received: June 23, 2016
Letter of explanation sent: July 13, 2016
...and I haven't heard anything since.
My CIC list looks like this right now:
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started
Yes - people are sometimes successful. Difficult to say what's going to happen in your case since you committed misrepresentation. That's pretty serious and typically not forgiven.
Good luck.

Order GCMS notes. Did you enter this experience in your EE Personal history form?

I entered it in my application for a post graduate work permit. I've been living in Canada since 2009. I was in school 2009-2013 and I've been working full time ever since. I listed the volunteer position in my post grad work permit because I misunderstood the question, and didn't list it in my PR application because I knew it wasn't relevant. However, the procedural fairness letter is accusing me of misrepresentation in a different time frame. The volunteering was during 2013, and they accused me of mentioning it in 2015 (clearly a typo). I'm hoping that mistake will be my only claim to hope!!

Did u get any reply?
i received that procedural fairness letter from CIC abu dhabi because of consent from the other parent- he revoked the consent given before.
I started my application 2015 and submitted all documents including the consent--- it took until this time to process my papers- then the Procedural fairness letter came....i felt so depressed waiting for so long. until now, no reply was given to me after i submitted the requirements they need.
Hi guys !
I am in process of sponsoship for more than 14 months, in February I received a letter from the VO called Procedural fairness for criminal inadmissibility by a DWI in Texas, and send the rehabilitation application, the payment and all the supporting documents, Someone knows how long it will take in answering if it was approved? I appreciate all your comments and advice!
