"We are processing your background check" generally means starting of your IP2. In most cases, and mine too haha, it takes about 2-3 weeks to get PPR. Good luck!!! It may be coming soon for you. Cheers!!
Generally, it's like IP1->NA->IP2. So, when your application is in IP1, your background check field says "Your Application is in progress". Then, it changes to NA before changing to "We are processing your background check" which is IP2. Honestly, I haven't seen something like NA2. Just a speculation, it may be a further check. But if you're in IP2, it means they are doing your security and criminality check. When that is completed, PPR is issued..
Thank you so much! I called Ottawa and they didn't provide me much info but they said that my application is currently being processed by the Case Processing Center in Ottawa. Are those good news? Does that mean I'm in IP2? Thanks!
CIC doesn't actually give out any specific stage information over the phone. It does mean you're in IP2 and probably get some good news soon in like 2-3 weeks I suppose. Again, its based on results for the most cases but still every case is different. Hope it helps. Cheers!!!

My bcg changed to "we are processing your background check...." after mep in sep 5th.
I haven't noticed any na or ip1. I'm guessing I'm in ip2 since sep 5th.
No updates yet.

Don't stress out...I know it's difficult... But CIC takes their time to complete the process.... The average time they take is about 3-4 months. You're already seeing changes very fast as compared to others... Stay patient and you'll get something positive soon....

Yeah, they will only tell you where your application is being processed and as you might have seen, they take on average 20 days to respond to emails. We're at the same stage; Good Luck to you!

Yah, it was on their auto reply that thet takes 20 days to reply.
Do you know if yours is with the Ottawa office now? Or you're waiting for their email?
