When did she apply? i applied for my mom on May 20 and biometrics was done on 25th May.. no update until now.. 96th day today since biometrics..

so frustrating, she missed a lot of events because of the very long processing times..my cousins wedding, my sons birthday and baptism, her bday which is supposed to be celebrated here, and the summer getaways ☹

We applied for supervisa for my dad on May 23 through the IRCC portal and we completed the biometrics on May 31st. No update since then. It definitely has been so frustrating. Are you going to reach out to an MP yet?

not yet.. 106th day today and its a tourist visa, not supervisa

My mom submitted the application in the new IRCC portal on May 20, 2022 and just today September 30 she received the notice for medical exam. It takes more than 4 months.

I applied for a visitor visa for a 2 year old on August 25, 2022 via gckey. Her parents are both holders of work visas. Should I reapply using the new portal?

To visit me and my kids. She also put there she will be attending the wedding of my 2 cousins and birthday and baptism of my son but all those events were over.

I just applied visitor visa for my parents and I today through GCKey. Hoping we can travel by Dec kaso parang malabo Didn't see there was another portal pala (IRCC)... Is it really so bad with GCkey compared to the new IRCC portal?

UPDATE:
My mom submitted the application in the new IRCC portal on May 20, 2022 and just today September 30 she received the notice for medical exam. It takes more than 4 months.

Oh man, that took long. Glad she received it though. GCkey states processing time is currently around 139 days.

Same here. Applied last July 6 thru new portal then submitted biometrics on July 8, since then no update na. Napakatagaaaaaal.

I'd like to share my timeline:
June 2 - submitted online application (GCkey)
June 3 - received application (w/ biometrics already)
October 24 - passport request
There's no notification since i submitted my application up to the passport request. it took almost 5 months, naiwan na din ako ng mga kasama ko na nag Canada. So better to apply a year before your intended visit to Canada. hope this helps!

Same here. Applied last July 6 thru new portal then submitted biometrics on July 8, since then no update na. Napakatagaaaaaal.
