My parents made an online application for the TRV on 10 June 2016, no news yet. :-(

Still no update on my parent's visa. They submitted it online on 10 June 2016.

applied on - 16th may - paper application
Medical request - 20th May
Medical exam - 30th may
medical sent - 4th July ,
no passport call yet .
any idea ?

Hi there.

I'm a Citizen of India. Applied for myself and my wife. We re visiting For tourism and to meet a friend in Canada. We also have a US visa. So all I submitted was a copy of the US visa and an invitation letter from the friend as an additional document.

I applied online via cic.gc.ca on the 24th June for my parents who are in India. Application is only for a visitor visa for two weeks. No answer yet. Tomorrow it will be 32 days, which is the current processing time for Indian nationals to get an answer for visitor visa applied from outside Canada.

My parents applied on the 10 June 2016, no reply yet. What do we infer? Some people who applied after them have got the passport request long back.

But your parents applied under the family class. If I understand well, that takes longer than a visitors' visa my parents applied for. Isn't that so?

yes, they applied together as spouse. It is not a 'super visa' just a regular visit visa. Does that take longer than individual visas?

I don't know. But I don't think you categorized yourself correctly in this forum. The category FAM (stands for family) is for when you sponsor your parents to settle in Canada (permanently). But I am not certain.
