Please update us when passport is received, if they got visa or not. I applied for my wife on july 28 paper application at vfs ahmedabad, it still in process. Don't know whats going on with Bangalore office.
will do for sure ! although she already has travelled to Canada and USA last year ! her visa expired so it was more of a renewal. My parents have no travel history so I am not sure if mil's process was faster coz of the history !

I have made a paper application from VFS Pune for my mother's visit visa on 8th August. Her travel tickets are already booked for 29th September but haven't received any updates from Bangalore office yet. It still says under process. Has anyone filled around that time and received updates? I am now worried as its too short a notice. Is there anyway that the process can be expedited?
Me too....same date from Ahmedabad VFS no Update yet ....

Approved and asked to submit my passport at a VAC Sep 1
Submitted at Bangalore VAC on Sep 6
Processed by Canadian Visa Office on Sep 14
At Bangalore VAC on Sep 15
Picking it up today Sep 16
This could probably have been much shorter if I had submitted my passport immediately and if there had not been holidays and bandhs (strikes) in Bangalore. In other words, I could probably have gotten the stamped passport by Sep 10 if I had submitted it on Sep 2. Anyway, I was/am not in a hurry
I have a history of travel, so that's probably why I got the visa without much of a problem.
Telephone helpline not particularly helpful but not rude either.
Quick question " Vfs Tracking system shows that passport is been dispatched on 2016/09/15 from CHC-New delhi to VFS processing centre." Is it ready to be available for pick up today 2016/09/16 at mumbai VFS ? is it necessary to call VFS helpline to find about status ? Plz advise
