The process for applying for immigration from my native country, Lebanon seems too long 59 month in average.
So I was thinking in the following alternative:
I visit Canada using a visitor visa (got some relatives), I search and apply for jobs, get the work permit then apply for immigration.

1. Yes, but the prospective employer would have to get a positive LMO (Labour Market Opinion) from HRSDC that there are no Canadians/PRs available for the job and be able to prove that they have advertised across Canada. If they receive the LMO then you would have to apply outside Canada for a work permit.
