Visitor Visa / Supervisa Question

Hello my parents have visitor visa until 2027. I would like to apply for their supervisas. Even though I don't want to be thinking on the negative side, I was wondering what would happen to the current valid visitor visa if their supervisas are not approved? Will the visitor visas remain active or be canceled? I would greatly appreciate it if you can guide me to a link or website where I can read about this. Thank you.
