Visitor Visa holder - landing in Montreal - connecting to Toronto

Need your expertise for a scenario.

If a visitor visa (TRV 6 months) holder is landing in Montreal and has a connecting flight to final destination i.e. Toronto (in 5 hours). Will the immigration check happen at the Montreal airport or at the Toronto Pearson airport? Any other documentation needed at Montreal airport?

Since the final destination is Toronto, I believe Air Canada will transfer the checked in luggage and it will be handed over at Toronto Pearson airport? Pls confirm. Many thanks for your help!

You have to collect your luggage and go thru customs. After that, you need to come out and check in with Air Canada. Luggage is your responsibility. In case your luggage is delayed, Air Canada will reach the luggage to your final destination. Pretty easy process. No need to stress out.
