Hi all,
I am travelling to Canada on 2nd of August 2018. When I applied my visitor visa I showed the invitation letter from my cousin living in London, Ontario. And I indicated in family information form that my Mom and Dad lives in Montreal and they are PR.
So, My ques is as according to the plan I was gonna go to London directly but as per the circumstances now I am directly going to Montreal to my parents coz the next day of arrival in Canada is my Birthday. From their we will go to London.
So, I wanted to know will I face any problem in change of destination as I am travelling from New Zealand and this is my first visit to Canada and I am New Zealand PR holder
Also, as I land on Vancouver first will my immigration be done at Vancouver airport or Montreal airport.
Please help as somebody told me that I might be refuse to enter Canada .

Where did you get this information that you won't be allowed to enter Canada at a different airport from what you had stated in your application? Please post the link.
You may want to consider flights to Montreal instead of a layover in Vancouver

If you're traveling to Vancouver only because you had stated it in your visa application then don't. If your flight bookings are otherwise through Vancouver then you will go through immigration at Vancouver
Yes, the immigration officer at the POE has access to your previous entries into Canada.
No, they don't check what a visitor stated in the application.
Yes, travel plans can change.
If you're traveling to Vancouver only because you had stated it in your visa application then don't. Otherwise, you will go through immigration at Vancouver
One bit of advice:
Don't appear nervous or stressed out at the Canadian POE. If you do, it might result in unnecessary questioning.
Be confident. Answer only what is asked. You only changed your travel plans. People change their travel plans, arrival destinations and duration of their visits. So, it's not a big deal

In addition to the advice from Bryanna assume you already know to keep in mind as well as clearing immigration in Vancouver you will also clear customs there so will need to collect your checked bag pass through customs and drop bag at connections desk for your connecting flight. Hopefully you have allowed for this time between flights.
